Hi! I’m Sarah. I love to make art and spend time outside here in Asheville, North Carolina. I hope my work brings some sunshine into your life, and that’s why my brand is Sunshine Makes!

I am a potter, knitter, sewist, and sometimes I’m a painter or a printmaker. I’m also a climber, hiker, adventurer and sometimes a runner or mountaineer. I try to play as much as I can. Whether its with my art or in the outdoors, my priority is having fun.

I took my first pottery class in 2022 and fell completely in love, from beginner classes to studio memberships I have grown as an artist and found my favorite styles and pieces to make. I sell my work to fund this incredible hobby of mine, but excess funds go towards my student loans so every piece purchased means the world.

There are lots of artist out there making work that exists purely to be beautiful, or to evoke emotion, or all sorts of incredible reasons to make art. My work is more on the functional side, I want people to use my art and love it every day.
